The Oscars: The Muppets “Man or Muppet” (Video)
Last night marked the 84th Annual Academy Awards. Aside from an early J.Lo nip slip, the evening was the typical self-aggrandizing love fest that felt like one giant ‘Hugo’ commercial. A bright spot came in the Best Original Song category, where Brett McKenzie, one half of comedy duo Flight of the Conchords, won for his work on ‘The Muppets.’ Below you will find a music video for McKenzie’s “Man or Muppet” featuring leading man Jason Segel and Walter among others.

Video: Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi “Rollin’ and Tumblin'” (Live at the White House)
Just when you think your week is finished and you’ve seen and heard just about everything that the internet has to offer, something new rolls your way around 5 o’clock on Friday that you simply cannot avoid. For me, that something new came in the form of a video from husband and wife Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi. The duo serves as the front for Tedeschi Trucks Band, who released their debut album Revelator last year. The video is footage from their recent performance at the White House. President Barack Obama warms up the crowd as Trucks and Tedeschi warm up on some acoustics behind the scenes. Enjoy!

Fresh Track: Michael Kiwanuka ft. Dan Auerbach “Lasan”
I was excited to learn that The Black Keys took the time to link up with up-and-coming Brit Michael Kiwanuka during their UK tour. News swirled that the soul-revivalist and Keys frontman Dan Auerbach had recorded a track. Well, the rumors were true, and the track was released in the wee hours this morning. The results can be found below. Auerbach is not featured on vocals, but his fingerprints will be visible to any longtime Keys fan. The song, like the rest of Kiwanuka’s work is simple and of another era. Check out a video of Kiwanuka playing an acoustic version of the track on the streets of Brussels HERE.
