Video: Blouse “They Always Fly Away”

by @thoughtontracks

Portland’s Blouse is a new band that has held our attention in 2012. See January’s Band to Watch post.  Their brand of synth-heavy, shoegaze pop appears simultaneously ready for the dance club and your local indie rock venue. The fragile, breathy vocals of lead-singer Charlie Hilton provide an interesting contrast to the band’s danceable backbeat, built around the thump of Jacob Portrait’s bass. Below, catch a recent live clip of “They Always Fly Away” off the band’s debut, self-titled LP that dropped on Captured Tracks last November. Check out more pictures and info from Blouse’s session at Room 205.
