Video: The Low Anthem – Sleepover Shows Session
Yesterday, the outstanding Boston-based video blog Sleepover Shows released their session with The Low Anthem. The Providence, RI quartet will make a pit stop at The Amber Room at Indianapolis’ Old National Centre on February 8th before heading into the studio for some recording later this spring. The show is part of the southern leg of The Low Anthem’s cross-Canadian tour with City and Colour. Tickets are available for $23.50 via MOKB Presents. Watch the video for “Ghost Woman Blues” below.

Video: Dreamers of the Ghetto “Connection”
Dreamers of the Ghetto were one of 2011’s new artists that have helped to place some national eyes on their hometown of Indianapolis. Following a favorable review of their album Enemy/Lover in Pitchfork last year, the band hit the road. By the end of the year they had played Shea Stadium. Critics have universally concurred that their sound has the potential to fill arenas, and I will not stake an argument against it. I was fortunate enough to be on hand at LUNA music with a handful of others to see their window rattling in-store performance last summer. The band has a handful of Midwest shows scheduled for February. Stop by your local record shack to scoop a copy of their album and “Tether” / “Heavy Love” 7″. They do not disappoint. Video: Waters “Mickey Mantle” (QMtv Session)
Waters is the solo project of Van Pierszalowski, former front man of the now defunct Port O’Brien. We featured the band in our Band to Watch last month. MOKB Presents will bring Pierszalowski and fellow West Coast indie starlets Delta Spirit to Radio Radio on Saturday, March 24th. Tickets are $15, a pittance considering the fun that is almost certain to ensue. Waters recently visited the folks at Quit Mumbling to record one of their QMtv Sessions. The results are featured below, a stripped-down, acoustic take on the song “Mickey Mantle.” Enjoy the video and come out for the show!
