Video: DMA & Oreo Jones “The John Wayne”
Indianapolis musicians David Moose Adamson (DMA) and emcee Oreo Jones dropped a video for their new track “The John Wayne” over the weekend. DMA’s focus has centered around electronic music since the disbanding of his previous project JOOKABOX last year. The video was put together in collaboration with the Heavy Gun and the Rad Summer crews, and can be found below. The beat is dope and Oreo never disappoints on his delivery. Fresh Track: Fever Blanket “You & The Things You Do”
Late last year, Thought on Tracks contributor Brett McGrath stumbled upon local lo-fi, surf pop group Fever Blanket via Bandcamp. Since the discovery, the band has remained largely a mystery. I have yet to see any listings for live performances associated with the band. Their Facebook page offers only first names of the band’s members. However, today I was encouraged to learn that Dan Snodgrass from The Bonesetters recently made contact about a show and a possible interview. They exist! What I do know is this: they make damn good music. On February 4th, Fever Blanket released a new track entitled “You & The Things You Do.” Stream the track below, and visit their Bandcamp page for a free download.

New Video: Hollis Brown “The Fly” (ft. DMC)
NYC’s Hollis Brown is an NYC band that we’ve had our eyes on for a while. The band just dropped a new video for their song “The Fly” featuring legendary hip-hop artist DMC. Yes, that DMC. Both Hollis Brown and DMC will be in Indianapolis this week, with shows surrounding the Super Bowl. DMC will take stage at Madame Walker Theatre this Friday (Tickets). Hollis Brown will perform at Bu Da Lounge this Saturday. Check out the video below and keep your eyes peeled for HB’s new LP Nothing & The Famous No One, recorded in Nashville with the Deer Tick/Middle Brother crew, due out on February 28th.
