Video: Tom Haney “Home”
Around this time last year we featured a video entitled “Boxcar Fair” that showcased a collaboration between Atlanta’s Little Tybee and kinetic sculptor Tom Haney. Haney has returned with a new video called “Home.” This time the musical accompaniment comes from Jónsi, the singer and guitarist best known for his work with Icelandic post-rock outfit Sigur Rós. It’s a solo track entitled “Helinglás” that finds Jónsi’s abandoning signature falsetto for a more reserved tenor set against lush arrangements on strings. The video for “Home” is much less complex than “Boxcar Fair,” but no less interesting. Watch as Haney displays the end result and his process below.

Video: Fulltime Killaz “A Christmas Dream 2”
There are some things in this world that are simply too strange not to shed a light on. Over the weekend, we received an email submission for a video from a group called Fulltime Killaz. A preliminary Facebook search turned up an account tied to a college student from Bacoor, Cavite in the Phillipines. The e-mail said nothing more than “Fulltime Killaz wish you a Merry Christmas!” The video features a chop-up of the French language version of 1984 b-movie horror flick Silent Night, Deadly Night which features an axe-wielding, serial-killing Santa Claus. The production work is shoddy. The music is mediocre. But there is something that I find endearing about these obscure bits of gold floating around the nether-regions of this vast landscape we call the internet. Some days you must celebrate the weird. So ring in the holidays with a NSFW video called “A Christmas Dream 2” from whomever the hell is Fultime Killaz.

Video: Lily & Madeleine “In the Middle”
Lily & Madeleine is a sister duo from Indianapolis. The pair recently released a video for their debut single “In the Middle“, which you may watch below. The track is scheduled to appear on the band’s debut EP The Weight of the Globe, due to drop in early January. The song is reminiscent of fellow folk singer sisters First Aid Kit, with immaculate harmonies set against an understated acoustic backdrop.
